It shows up as Solid Black but When i see through my clear Vista start menu I can see the wallpaper that I have set.

    Please help,

Please list machine spec when posting questions..

You don't say if your drivers are up to date?

    Thanks for the info...

So what happens if you right-click on an image and choose 'set as background'?

A solid color covers it, but i can see my icons.
Right now, Black is my background but i have one of those vista wallpapers hiding behind it.

I can see the vista wallpaper through the clear vista start menu.

Hmm.... Try this.. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories and right-click
on the Command Prompt and choose "Run as administrator".
Type in: SFC /SCANNOW and press your Enter key.

This should repair/replace any missing or corrupt files.
