    I dont see any IDE devices under the BIOS setup. And there's no optiarc dvd+-rw ad-5540a ata listed under headers in BIOS setup.

    I tried that method before... cant find the UpperFliter and LowerFilter. I tried disable and re-enable my DVD rom drive at device manager and now it cant detect the device. I'm still able to open up the DVD rom drive before windows 7 start up, after it start up I cant open it anymore.

    Windows 7 Unable to detect/read CD/DVD

    My Windows 7 is unable to read any CD/DVDs I put and I've tried several methods like uninstalling driver, reboot then let it auto reinstall again. Nothing works. My device name is optiarc dvd+-rw ad-5540a ata. Hope someone can help me :frown:
