PDF Viewer alternatives to Adobe and Foxit, poll included

The website states the following: "All licenses are valid indefinitely for the software product version they were purchased for. In addition, our customers are provided with free updates and technical support during one year from the date of the purchase. After that, updates and support are...

PDF Viewer alternatives to Adobe and Foxit, poll included

For viewing pdfs I stick to Adobe Reader. For editing I purchased Master PDF Editor. With this software you can do everything you possibly want to do with a pdf.

    RAM

Normally the slots have got different colors. E.g. there are two blue slots and two black slots. The modules that are inserted into the slots of the same color should ideally be the same. If you got two different pairs insert one pair into the slots of color x and the other pair into the slots...

Windows 10 Have they fixed the Windows 10 AU issues?

That's why I've disabled automatic updates with the help of group policies. My advice for everyone owning the pro edition would be to do the same. This way one can do some research on possible issues before updating. And never forget to backup your system ;)

    Upgrading PSU

The 9590 has got huge power consumption so if your mainboard's circuits aren't strong enough to supply that much power the PC will most likely become unstable. If you really want to get a CPU upgrade now and can spare the money for it I'd go for the 8350 or 8370, depending which one you can get...

    Upgrading PSU

I've got a FX-8350 which is pretty close to the 8370. It's a good CPU (apart from it's outdated power consumption) but also very old for a CPU and definitely not on par with Intel's CPUs. My system has got a GTX770 graphics card and the CPU is already the limiting factor since most programs/...

    Upgrading PSU

I would not do that. AMD is about to launch it's new processor lineup which apparently will finally be competitive again when compared to Intel's CPUs. I would stick with what you got and wait to see how the new AMD CPUs perform. If they don't meet your expectations I would consider switching to...

    Upgrading PSU

Another point of view: Adding such a high powered graphics card would be a waste of money if you run it in a system with an ADM FX-6300. This processor, although not a bad one, is outdated and would definitely slow down your high powered graphics card. Better get a middle class graphics card...

    Windows 10 Web Browsers

I'm still a Firefox user. But I must admit that Vivaldi sounds tempting. I might give it a try.

Does MS recommend a movie/Blu-ray/DVD player in lieu of Media Center?

VLC is indeed a very good (probably the best) free DVD/ Blue Ray player. If you're willing to spend some cash you can go for Power DVD, it's the commercial player that I like most. But than again that's only my opinion.

Windows 8 Acronis Backup: Moving Computer to New Operating System in future. Will software do?

Well, it depends on whether you are planning to use your current os on the new pc or if you want to use another version of Windows. You can transfer the image of your current system drive over to the new pc, this would include all partitions of the system drive, the os, all settings and your...

Windows 8 System Image for backup or Restore Point? For offsite backup

Personally I would not go for Acronis True Image anymore, at least not version 2015, since I've made bad experience with this software (images were not restorable). I now use Paragon Hard Disk Manager, there is also a backup-only version which is called Paragon Backup and Restore. There are also...
