The xpi's do not install. They do not run. They freeze the mini window that opens for Add-ons. I have to use Task Manager to close it. Mouse clicking on the Add-on window just chimes "ding". Yep :( FF3.0.10 not beta. Thanks for trying oneextraid :)

Until 7127 I had no problem with installing xpi's either. Now I have a problem. I can recall seeing that others suffered with this and that the solution was a tweak somewhere or other. Needless to say I cannot find the solution now. Clean install? definitely Yes. Windows x86. Latest FF.

I think us Dads/Granddads have to move with the times. I am one of XP's biggest oldest fans. I have it on all my PCs and the laptop. However, I dual boot with Seven on my main PC. I have been using Seven since 7000 and now don't like using XP, ha ha. Tell yer Dad to try it. Embrace the change...

My laptop has 512 RAM. The laptop is not worth spending money on it to increase the memory to a gig or two. Therefore, on my laptop, I still have to use XP Pro :(

It's already Tues 5 May here in London. The number 7 night bus has just gone by, but no sign of Windows 7. Wake me up when something happens :razz:

You're not the only one this happens to, shatterstar. It's bugging me too. I am trying to think were it happens. What programs am I using when it crops up. I know, for one example, it happens in my mp3 tag program (Tag n'Rename) And you're right it is a behaviour peculiar to Seven. I dual boot...

Sorry djwayne, that is your view. Other folk have other views and the opinions of other folk are just as valid as yours. I think Classic is great. I urge you to accept another person's opinion. But no. You won't, will you? ;)
