okay i found a fix that seems to have worked thus far so i took the ip configuration the ipv4 adress,default gateway and such from the xp computer i use on the same network and put it in the windows seven computer that has the problem and thus far it has worked for about 24 hours

is this because there isn't a default gateway on my ethernet adapter for local area connection?

okay here's my problem i have had this issue for about two months now on and off and it is irritating the crap out of me. so my internet is more or less dying I can't for a period of time connect to the internet and when i go to the network and sharing center it doesn't identify my network even...
