I put it into the jack on the motherboard or whatever it is, and not in the soundcard, its working now, shame i cant figure out how to get it to work with my SB Audigy, but its a cheap mic so its not a big deal. Thanks for the response.

I have 3.5 input microphone from Logitech and even though it is checked as my default microphone in the settings, with an SB Audigy soundcard. It would pick up any sound, please note this is the secound microphone I am trying. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution: I did some more research, and I came across a setting in the BIOS called C-State C3 C6 or something like that, it apparently controls power output or something like that, and it was set to "auto", I turned the setting to "disabled". I have yet to crash since doing so, *fingers crossed*...
