From an elevated CMD prompt. Net stop p2pimsvc /y Then delete the following file. "C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking\idstore.sst" reboot and you should be able to leave the homegroup or rejoin it. Worked for me anyway
