Newest BSOD

Alright well, I've tried installing it again. Driver still says 2009, but when I use the current software from the website (one you linked) and go to custom install (I went to custom as a last resort) and clicked on each item to see what it was it did say that I already had the current version...

Yup, that's where I got it. I wonder why its being screwy..... well. What's a couple more tries gonna hurt lol

Alright. Used the program. Installed. Date: 9/23/2009 Version: 8.661.0.0 And just to double check, I looked over the ATI website to make sure it was the most current one. Used driverscan to make sure there were no updates. Everything appears to have the newest update.

It must have been. I just installed new ones. Restarted. Back to old. Installing again. Fixed the updating issue. Keeping fingers crossed.

How on earth do they keep going back to the old drivers after I've installed the new ones! Argh!!!!! Will install news one again.

I've gotten 4 BSOD so far. All within the last few hours. Unfortunately, two did not create a dump file.

It finished after a little over two hours, or well I turned it off. Still nothing happened. Laptop didn't even get hot to the touch like it does when playing world of warcraft. I did get a BSOD after about.... 15 minutes of playing warcraft though, sadly it didn't create a dumpfile for some...

Still running and still going strong. Not one problem so far.

Alright, its going and logging the info. Don't think my laptop has ever been this slow lol. What am I looking for with this?

Still no BSOD. Just two more frozen screens. After the first time, the screen went back to normal and I got the typical pop up from the taskbar. This one: (hopefully it's bigger when clicked on) Link Removed Just a few minutes after posting this the screen froze once more. Had to restart...

I'll be sure to leave it on for at least 24 hours, hopefully some pattern emerges.
