I don't have just a file for the driver. from the ATI site I got an .exe file to run than it will install the driver. This is where I am getting an error at. So I am not sure how to complete your steps with this.

I have ATI not NVIDIA, when I try to download the driver, it gives me a install program that is supposed to do it and fails everytime I try.

For some reason my computer wont install the driver. It keeps saying it Failed, but doesn't give a reason why. ATI Display Driver Final Status: Fail Version of Item: 8.791.0.0000 Size: 90 Mbytes

The disc for the monitor doesnt install any drivers, nor do I know where to find them, I have searched but couldn't find it. Once I get find those I will try that, and if it doesnt work I will try the other option you gave.

The LG might be a 22" I am sure of the model number, not the size. I couldn't remember. But I tried to unplug the HP and the restart so I could try and set the LG to the resolution 1680x1050 but it is still not an option. (right click and view image to make it more visible :/) those are all...

Installing the new drivers did not work. I am so up in the air with this issue. Doesn't seem anyone can give me a solution. I have tried multiple forums and to no prevails. =[

Alright, I will try this when I get home to my computer. I know I had tried those solutions before but to no avail, but I will try again and see what comes of it, maybe I missed something my first time through.

Thanks for the few links to help manage the monitors being the primary and secondary. Sadly that is not the main issue here and sorry for making it seem like it was. My biggest issue is trying to figure out why my primary monitor, the 23" one, can no longer be set to its "recommended"...
