    How many sticks of ram are there in the machine 2 or 4? If you have 4 shut down and remove 2 of them and then reboot to see if you get the BSOD again, then swap them with the 2 that you pulled and try and get the Bsod again.     It would be on a page called voltage in the Bios. I think you were running a Dell rig right? If thats the case the settings are usually not adjustable.

    My advice, leave the sink and fan in place, DL CPUID HW monitor and see if you get similar values.     Windows 7 Ports missing from device manager

    This may sound silly but did you attach a device to either of the ports and then try looking for them? I had that problem with a prolific usb to serial port where it didn't show up untill I connected the device.
