I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, Version 1703 (Build 15063.138). I used to be able to select a folder for the Background Slideshow and it would include all sub-folders. Now, It only includes pictures in the selected folder and no sub-folders. I don't know exactly what update caused this to...
That's a very good point. I consider theft and fire as the most likely disasters, hardware/software failures notwithstanding. The drive will be much safer stored in a safe. I may consider storing a semi-annual backup in the bank safe deposit box too.
I'm running regular backups on my Windows 7 computer. My destination for most backups is a USB 3.0 hard drive. I have several internal hard drives that I also use, but I'm using the USB drive so that I can totally isolate the backup files from anyone out there who wants to do harm to my system...
Well, after using Windows Live Mail for a few days I came to see that, although different from Windows Mail, it is also much better. Enough so that it will be worthwhile for my wife to "bone up" on a new and different email program and start using it. So I guess my original question is no longer...
I'm going to upgrade my wife's OS from XP to Windows 7. I think she will be happier with Windows Mail (that appeared with Vista) instead of Windows Live Mail. It has a look that will be more familiar to her. Can I use Windows Mail in Windows 7 instead of Windows Live Mail?
I have set WLM to check mail every 5 minutes, but if I want to check it now, I don't know how. I used to be able to do this in OE. Can I still do this? Thanks.
