Hi, I ran a malware scanner and found 3 detections. Now quarantined, and then ran the search and indexing troubleshooter once I had restarted and it is now working. I thought it may have been, I just didnt think to start in safe mode. Thank you Carla

Firstly windows media player was crashing when ripping cd's, now office and other programs are crashing. I updates up to date and plenty of free disk space. I have tried the fixes for WMP and also done 3 system restores and still having same problems.
