My DB is xp/win 7 and I have had this thing dual booted for a while..mostly successful. There has been however one really annoying problem. Windows 7 recognizies areas of the xp boot disc. Is there some way to get win7 to stop recognizing the xp boot disc partition so that there is no crossing...

well I guess there is no way to do this "officially" so bah! On the other hand, really the only issue with W7 for me is drivers (allot of audio stuff) and even then, it mostly runs very well. The worst thing I had was the wireless network card, but that has been replaced and for whatever reason...

where and how do you get new versions? RC7100 Is what I have and the only updates I have are a bunch of language stuff I neither want or need.

I'll be rebuilding a new pc (well mostly) around the time 7 is released, so an OEM is going to be my choice. Er, if they offer it (you'd think they will)

What I always had to do is use the wep, but sadly I don't remember the how to for windows 7. What I can say is that under my wireless network properties, it has "no authentication" (open) then wep then the network key. I can remember going crazy trying to get it to work until I used this wep...

Though I don't remember the procedure I used, the only way I can connect is using wep, which if I remember correctly is not how w7 wants to hook up. It seems setting up vista on a lappy was much easier and didn't require allot of fiddling. Probably a driver issue?

Does anyone have stuff showing up in W7 that is random stuff from the "other" boot drive. To try and explain, let's say you have a plug in for an audio application installed on the XP partition, but for some reason the manuals from this plug in are also in windows 7:eek: Now, not the plug in...

I just tried to do a scan and all I get is "no scan option" :( I don't have the "hp" software installed, trying not to clog up with useless stuff. Don't know if I can help at all.

to make sure I'm understanding, you don't have an issue printing right? This is scanning.........might be able to confirm a problem but I've not ever done a scan (I have the same printer) For printing, it works way better than my toshiba vista 64 does with the included setup (all wireless)

try to install it under "troubleshoot compatibility" right click on icon/select "troubleshoot compatibility"/ try recommended settings/start the program from there most problem programs have installed
