Unfortunately that option never has been available. I'm not aware of any third party applications, that will give the notification tray advanced features.
Control Panel >> All Control Panel Items >> Notification Area Icons Set each one of the applications you want hidden, to "Hide icons and notifications". Otherwise the only way to change settings would be within the application itself, that is if there is settings available to change.
It's your system, you know how it responds with the Pagefile. You have the option to disable paging. You could always disable and if you ever have issues, you could enable paging again.
8GB is working for me without paging enabled and has been for 6 months. Rarely do I ever see usage over 4GB. However with your RamDisk settings, you should keep your pagefile enabled as that cuts your available memory in half.
IE10 looks the same as IE9. With that said; I have not spent allot of time with IE10, as I use Opera as my main browser. From what I hear IE10 is only 32-bit. Even though there is a 64-bit installer, the 64-bit executable is only a pointer for the 32-bit version of IE. I do know there is only...
Windows 7 32-bit has a 16-bit emulator. 16-bit applications should run just fine in Windows 7 32-bit. There is no need in having XP Mode to run 16-bit applications in Windows 7 32-bit. It's Windows 7 64-bit that does not emulate 16-bit, instead Windows 7 64-bit has emulation for 32-bit.
This link is where to download. Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC You mentioned providing a link other than Microsoft, I'm sorry but I only provide download links to the authors pages. It's best for security reasons on your behalf, as well as being courteous to the author.
I'm not so sure your application will not run natively in Windows. Windows 7 64-bit will run 32-bit applications as well as 64-bit. Windows 7 64-bit will emulate a 32-bit environment for all 32-bit application. This is no different from Windows 7 32-bit emulating a 16-bit environment for ancient...
I'm fairly certain your motherboard and CPU, would allow for down-clocking when idle. Is it just your memory that seems to be under-clocked or does your CPU down-clock as well?
encryption means the file has been scrambled to keep people from reading the file. A password is needed to UN-scramble the file. Basically without the proper key, there is no way to unlock and open the door.
