Quick update. I went into the BIOS and selected an option entitled "Load Fail-Safe Defaults". When it rebooted I got the Windows repair screen, selected "Repair Windows", and now I have the "Startup Repair" window up and it is "Attempting repairs." This is the best sign I've had in a week!
