Not having gone that route before, I will not guarantee success. Can you, I am sure that you can, go to the top menu line, click on View and see what of the 4 top icons is "depressed" ? If you then click on Normal, you will see your text and all the PageBreaks. Now how to find the way to...

    page breaks

If you are in Word, go to "Edit", Replace or Ctrl H, then you will be presented with a dialogue to replace xxx with a space. I do not have the codes handy at this time. Hunt around. I will give it an honest try and get back to you. Do not despair. I use Office 2000 and it all works the same. I...

    Upgrade to W10 21H 1.

Hello. I got 21H1 installed on a machine but on reboot, it asked for my PW, which I typed in. It was refused. Then the fun began ! It, the machine, asked me to change to a new PW, that was fun, it would not accept anything at all. I then hit the "use another way to do this" and it sent me a code...

Fresh install of windows on new computer??

Hello Jared. Why not use that SSD as is ? I do this all the time doing clones from any one of my 4 machines. When you first boot it, it will look for all that is different and then run like a new machine or better still like your old machine on new hardwadware. Go for it.

What are the chances of an attacker recovering my data on a “quick formatted” hard drive?

Patrick, greets. Just one small detail here. First, let me thank you for the Anchor text. Not very W-10 important but fine to read. Now to set matter straight, let me say that it might have been prompted by "Jean" as my name. Jean here is John where you are. Hit me at my email and we will be...

What are the chances of an attacker recovering my data on a “quick formatted” hard drive?

Patrick, greetings. What a nice reply, it really clears up my mind. I needed to know if Gparted would do this or not. I guess that now, when I garbage a HD, I will again, as I used to do, drill a 1/8" hole in it. Or beat the light out of it with a sledge. Would this be forensic enough ? Light...

What are the chances of an attacker recovering my data on a “quick formatted” hard drive?

Hello, Pat. How are you ? I follow this note for the education possible. In my case, I use Gpart to flush the drive. What can you tell me in this regard. I do a "Delete" of any partition on the HD, followed by a "New" action then a format to NFTS. It shows me a blank medium. In your opinion...
