I am having trouble installing the windows 8.1 KB3000850 update on a Toshiba L-50 A laptop, it is my son's and he doesn't use it very often. It has tried to install at least 10 times now and always comes back saying that it failed. Any info on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
I am quite happy with windows 10 except for one thing. When I click on the little windows start menu icon the cursor just goes round and round and the start menu doesn't open up. When I right click on it I get the normal desktop list. Is there something I need to change to be able to get the...
Managed to find the problem myself :redface: My laptop had converted to touch screen. It is not a touch screen so that's why I lost my icons. Changed it and all is good :chuncky:
I upgraded my laptop to windows 10 and was quite happy with it until my desktop icons disappeared and the tiles that you saw when clicking on the start button that were small suddenly became big like windows 8 and took over the whole screen! How can I get it back to when it first installed?
