I keep getting app crash on msn about a month ago I had app crash it spread across all my programs my ram not fault because I have recently tested this. Last time only way i could fix it to do a clean install of windows 7 I dont want to do that again if it can be helped.

Done everything you asked but error the preview image is still there on the 500gb hard drive which was shown before. On the error scan for all the hard drive came up green blocks on the hd tunes pro. I also ran the other hd tools as well

So far testing the hd the internal 500gb hard drive the one that wont play films has errors on it im actually using the error scan at the moment as well on the hd tune pro. see attached for hd error:

I do use external hd's but the hard drive im having a problem with is internal i have two internal hard drives.

Not sure if this is relevant or not but one of the hard drives not the one used for the os but the hard drive used for storing all my work will not let me play film on it I always have to use other hard drive to play back files. maybe this info is useful?
