I guess some of it persisted after that. It was a firewall, yes, but also the fact that sguests (containing all standard users), were in Domain Guests. That puts it in Guests of course. The problem, is not all users belong in Guests, and therefore, since appearrently it makes them have temporary...

Seems to work now.

First the firewall was blocking. Then, i found out it behaves that way for guests, which was my second problem. Third, my regular administrators profile really was corrupted.

Nope, it didn't help. I DO know the issue must be somewhere in gpos though.

Its not linked to anything about the school. Because of covid, i was mostly at home. It is my own laptop. I read elsewhere that unjoining to domain, deleting profiles, then rejoining may help. Ill try it!

By the way, now that im out of school, ill probably wait til a possible windows 12 before upgrading.

Appearently, just be a part of my network, configured the way it is... Trying to solve it, so it's not a temporary profile...

I have a problem with temporary profiles. Read the first post here: Can't ping DC. That explains this problem as well, in my background information. Basicaly, I fixed the communication with the DC. Then, I enabled users for the computer store to work with. Then I took it to my local computer...

This problem was the firewall configured by gpos. It's fixed now.

Maybe a hardware NAS is best for this situation. I'd recommend buffalo NASs, or maybe Synology brand. Please consider this, if your doing serious file sharing in and out of your network. It's like setting up Linux, cause that's what most use, but the work is done for you, and it's easy to setup...
