Hi everyone, Some of you may know this already but I just thought I would share my knowledge I learned from M$. I recently preordered windows 7 and could not find anywhere where to choose between 32 bit and 64 bit. I called MS and they confirmed to me that if you are downloading it you will be...
it turns out it was my video card. Windows 7 was being a resource hog and since it didnt have a video card to do the graphics the onboard card was used and sucked up all my RAM. Once I installed my new 9600GT my full 3GB came back with no problem.
I've looked around on this forum and I've found several other people with this same problem but I doing what they said does not resolve anything. Long story short I am running windows 7 64bit and have 3GB of ram installed. When I look it shows I have 3GB there but only 992MB available. Below...
I'm also having the same problem. I'm currently dual booting windows vista 32bit and windows 7 build 7000. I have downloaded the ISO twice now and tried burning it on two different programs, both at slower speeds. Every time I change my biod to boot from dvd I get a blinking line in the top left...
just a quick update. I removed my updated driver that windows 7 gave me and reinstall my old vista driver and it seems to be working just fine now. It seems it was indeed a driver problem.
clean install. I just did it myself and it does seem to run quicker then build 7000 and IR8 version RC1 is much more stable then the build 7000 version.
windows update is where I got my driver this time. I'm thinking that driver is my problem. I'm going to unistall it and then leave the vista driver on it and hope all is well.
I'm running a Geforce 8600GT 256MB GDDR3. Do you know how to remove the driver I have in windows 7 so I can go back and use the old one? I'm now on the x84 version of windows also. I couldnt find x64 build 7022.
I did also get the updated drivers from windows 7 update. I'm wondering if that driver if faulty and I should revert back to the old vista driver I had? It has to be the video card now because last night I installed build 7022 and I'm still having the problem when it returns from sleep.
