Windows 7 Will Windows 7 Read & Write a Single Sided Double Density 3.5" Floppy?

I plugged in my USB floppy drive to my 64 bit Win 7 and was able to write to and read from it. Then plugged it in to a 32 bit laptop and was able to read and write. conclusion: Yes it works. Just as a precaution, I would reformat older floppys before use.

Windows 7 Hard drive load maxed out for about 2 minutes after boot - no applications launch etc.

I have an older Dell laptop that does the same thing when MSE is installed. My other machines work OK with MSE. Uninstall MSE and see if that is the problem. On the laptop I use Avast and Malwarebytes and all is good.

Windows 7 dual boot with win xp and win 7

The booted OS becomes "C" for that boot cycle. If you boot win7 then win7 partition is "C". if you boot XP then the XP partition is "C".

Windows 7 Windows 7 installation is so frustrating

I went bald long ago. Mistake 1: You didn't create the recovery CD/DVDs. That said, The best way is to boot a GPARTED cd and completely clean the disk and set up 1 partition. Once you have 7 installed you have no need of the recovery partition. Once on 7 you won't want to go back. Good luck.

Windows 7 No Upgrade from XP to Windows 7

Probably a little to late now. There is a program, MozBackup (Google it), that backs up FireFox and Thunderbird.

Windows 7 Changing the display Percent (?)

In Control Panel select Display. In the left panel select Set custom text size. Left click on the ruler. Slide the ruler to display whatever % you want. Have fun with it. Edit: This also changes the Icon size.

Windows 7 Will you buy Window 7 without Toolbars?

This is an old thread. I hope by now you have found that Quick Launch is still in Win 7. If you haven't, just Google "Windows 7 Quick Launch" I use a 2 high taskbar, the bottom left being Quick Launch. Yes, I am going to move to Win 7. I have 4 copies on order.
