so far I haven't had any problems but from reading the problems on the TechNet forums I was a little concerned but after checking out the puis with WD drives wasn't as worried about it as I was originally. was wondering about the Seagate and Samsung drives but I will just keep with the WD for now
having read on line about bricking hard drives with the puis setting have any other had any problems? I changed 9841 to 9879 and didn't have any problems was using a WD hard drive which by default puis is not enabled
the bad thing now is that the TechNet program is shutting down, you have to till aug31 to renew or buy a supscription, so it will be closed in sept 2014 or whenever your subscription expires before that date
MS partner site says that RC is available to MSDN and Technet Plus users, but the links still show the betas posted in January, so hopefully they are about ready to post it.
you might be also be able to go into administrative tools....then computer management.....users.....then make sure guest account it turned on....Cant remember for sure but it might be turned off by default in vista and xp.
most people have a hard time finding drivers biggest joy in win7 is how well it loads amost everything on the install have several crash test systems that have gone thru xp vista and win7 and by far the win7 beta install was the best on all of these pentium 4 based machines.
