Yup same API error here, no way around it. I've tried everything mentioned on the net like others here. Punkbuster have said they're working on 7 compatibility but won't support it until release. Back to playing Empire Total War and Eve Online for now !
Finishing the install now, will have a poke around and see once its done. Interesting.. Its "Windows 7 Professional". Theres a feature I havent noticed before in the Control Panel, "Windows Anytime Upgrade". Its description is "A conveinient and affordable way to upgrade windows".

Hmm it shouldn't be? Live Essentials has an online installer, It downloads these apps to a temp dir then deletes them after installation (at least it should :p) but the app should be local not online based.
