so windows 7 build 7022 doesn't fix the hdmi plugged in boot up issue. :(

i have an acer aspire 5050, it takes a 2.5 sata drive, but it just wont detect them in bios, there's nothing i can do.... what i was hoping was to get a esata card and plug the drive into that, and install/boot win 7 from there... right now i have xp booting from a usb key but i can't figure...

ok so I can confirm that I couldn't install via hdmi or dvi, had to install with VGA. Once installed and in the is environment then you can plug in your hdmi or dvi

It wouldn't boot with hdmi again when it would work with VGA. Apparantly what you can do is let boot and THEN plug in the hdmi
