I had the exact same issue just now and fixed it by switching my DVD drive (Lite-On) from a 1.5 Gb/s SATA port to a 3.0 Gb/s one. The disk worked for me in a previous install on the exact same computer with a slightly different hardware configuration, so I don't believe there is any problem...
