Just want to let everyone know that the sound issue is fixed, apparently the fix was to unplug and re plug in the headphone jack several times. I am not sure WHY it worked but all my sounds are back and working through many reboots.

I know I have the correct drivers installed for my system but all the sounds in every program I have tried are extremely low and quiet to the point of being almost non existent. I have tried windows media player, skype, and VLC. No joy. I have surfed the forums for about 2 hours and not found...
