Since you recently changed the gateway, I'd first check whether the server's static IP, default gateway, and DNS settings are still correct. If this server is also running Active Directory, its network adapter should generally point to the internal AD DNS server rather than a public DNS server...

Since the Wi-Fi adapter works fine in a Live CD, the issue seems more likely to be related to Windows than the hardware. Have you tried running sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to check for corrupted system files? It may also help to check the WLAN AutoConfig service...
