    Windows 7 Free Anti-Virus .vs. Purchased Anti-Virus

Web Rep isn't as robust as WOT. It won't stop you from visiting a bad site like WOT. Of course WOT can be overridden though that ain't really a good idea. I tend to err on the side of caution and take such warnings seriously. The same goes for the warnings provided by Avast!, actually the...

    Windows 7 Free Anti-Virus .vs. Purchased Anti-Virus

My Avast! pro won't let me visit sites it deems unsafe. I get a popup warning me with no way to override. A good thing IMHO since it prevents me from opening the site anyway. It has saved me in this manner on several occasions thus far. It also scans incoming emails for malware. The browser...

Well Andrea the thread got a warning on was a thread titled "Do you run Linux as your sole operating system?"a legitimate topic for a Linux forum. You come in with several posts about you favorite subjects everything from why you don't like linux to your views on email clients and anti-virus...

Windows 7 Email Client Error Message

Actually, the Mint forum put up with Andrea for some time before warning her to stop hijacking threads like she's done here. She has actively disrupted several threads over there with her rants. If she doesn't take heed they are likely to reluctantly ban her, at least temporarily. She says...

Windows 7 How do I make a backup of my Windows 7 OS onto DVD

Re: Re: How do I make a backup of my Windows 7 OS onto DVD I use Clonezilla live to create images and part of my standard operating procedure is to perform a restore as soon as I make an image, while still in Clonezilla. This proves that the image will work when needed. I imagine Dell saves a...

Windows 7 How do I make a backup of my Windows 7 OS onto DVD

Mike did you test the image? You still should insist on Dell providing an OS DVD and driver disks. You paid for the OS license so they should provide you with the disks on request. As I said in my previous there may be a small fee but it's worth it to have the media.

Windows 7 How do I make a backup of my Windows 7 OS onto DVD

You have a few options, since this is a new machine a call to Dell tech support should help you with info about how to create a restore DVD. Actually I'm surprised your computer isn't bugging you to make a restore DVD. My Acer had no OS disk etc. but it would nag me about creating a restore DVD...

    Windows 7 Free Anti-Virus .vs. Purchased Anti-Virus

Fine, just don't try to tell us and the millions of other users of the various email clients that we aren't capable of using these easy to use programs. These programs wouldn't exist if they were impossible to use. On that note: I'm done trying to reason with you Andrea.

    Windows 7 Free Anti-Virus .vs. Purchased Anti-Virus

You're telling everyone about OE and other email clients is sheer lunacy. You don't know what you are talking about. Try to understand, it that is even remotely possible, there are millions of people including myself successfully using email clients. Whether it be OE or Tbird or others, that's...

    Windows 7 Free Anti-Virus .vs. Purchased Anti-Virus

Again you are wrong. Just because you find partitioning beyond your abilities or understanding doesn't mean people should be prohibited from doing it. Even if MS were stupid enough to remove this handy feature from Windows there are many 3rd party programs, both free and paid that can partition...
