Windows 7 Apple wired keyboard with USB Hub on Windows 7 issue.

I ran across a fix for this issue & post a link below. The author, who goes by MSC, explains that Mac OS X recognizes this keyboard for what it is; a powered USB hub, whereas, Windows sees it as a non powered or at least a limited powered hub of 100mA instead of 500mA. In order for Windows to...

Windows 7 Apple wired keyboard with USB Hub on Windows 7 issue.

[SOLVED] Apple wired keyboard with USB Hub on Windows 7 issue. 1st- the Apple keyboard (model # MB110LL/A) isn't listed as compatible with Windows 7. But I like it very much & had an extra one & decided to make use if it on my Windows 7 PC. The only issue I have using it on my PC is that the...

Windows 7 Odd monitor behavior since Windows 7 64-bit install.

I have the latest driver installed for the 6800GT, v258.96. Apparently Dell doesn't support Windows 7 drivers, either 32 or 64bit, for older monitors. Mine is a Dell 2405FPW. Microsoft supplies a generic PnP Monitor driver v 6.1.7600.16385. Dell does offer a driver for the replacement model...

Windows 7 Odd monitor behavior since Windows 7 64-bit install.

Thanks for your response. The black-out weirdness happens without any software being used. When this black-out occurs, there is a visible window - not a complete black screen. On the Linux side there are no graphic issues with any program. I do use XaraLX on Linux side but Xara 3D6 is Windows...

Windows 7 Odd monitor behavior since Windows 7 64-bit install.

My PC is a dual boot Win7 64-bit & Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64-bit. No graphic issues on Ubuntu side. I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit (upgrade from XP Home 32-bit), Intel Core2 2.40mhz & 4gb RAM. The graphic card is nVidia 6800GT (256mb) & all drivers are updated. Monitor is 24" Dell & no...

Windows 7 Really confused, some answers please.

I think I understand but just a "yes" or "no" will help. I've read lots on this but some is old info that is conflicting at best. I have read this, Link Removed due to 404 Error but still have questions. I have XP Home installed. My PC was checked & Win7 will work fine. I KNOW I need...

Windows 7 Another wired 'Connectivity:No Internet access' problem!

OK. I not shape as a tac with computers but I think I tried that. Is that where you edit IPv4 to just the IP addresses or something different? If so, how can I be sure what the correct info might be? I can read the info when I boot into Ubuntu. Would that be the same?

Windows 7 Another wired 'Connectivity:No Internet access' problem!

I think I've found the problem. My Ethernet card is Netgear FA311 v1. It doesn't say v1 but it is because it uses a National Semiconductor chip rather than a Realtek RTL8139, which is used with v2 & compatible with Vista. National Semiconductor never made a Vista driver for the FA311 v1 version...

Windows 7 Another wired 'Connectivity:No Internet access' problem!

The unplug - plug in didn't work. The results are as before - nothing. While @ Radio Shack I saw this same Netgear FA311 LAN network card is still available. So, Win7 won't work with current gear? Weird! What's next. I'm lost! George
