Windows 7 DNS server not responding?

Check to see if you have "Obtain an IP address automatically" selected and "Use the following DNS server addresses" selected. If this is your configuration then one of the DNS server may be down, although not likely since your other system is working. Choose both "obtain an IP address...

    Windows 7 I need a motherboard

==> You'll find it hard to bend/crush a CPU pin, unless you physically screw it up with your fingers. A slight misalignment of the pin, push the lever down and voila - straighten out a few. ==> If the socket matches and you have enough power, it'll work. Nothing works if you don't have enough...

Windows 7 home group keeps setting itself up

Home group becomes active because the (file/folder/printer) resources are being shared with member of the groups. You have persistent share resources. You can stop the sharing by changing the key (best bet) or turn-off network discovery. Once the share is broken, you can examine other computers...

If the BSOD is repeatable, write down the information on the BSOD and post them. The information provides the code to the hard failure, the location of the code and may include the name of the driver that caused the hard fault. Knowing the cause is half way to solving the problem. If the cause...

I have seen that many times. First, check to see if it's hardware or software. When you get stuck, press the numlock key to see if the light turn on (if the laptop has a numlock key). If the numlock key light does not turn on then it's a hardware lockup. Second, the DVD may have timed out...

Windows 7 Windows 7 infinite restart problem.

Since you can't boot the machine to perform an administrative share of the drive, you need to take out the hard drive. Removing the hard drive from a laptop is extremely easy. Remove the (one) screw holding the cover gives you access to the hard drive. Check to see if there is a second screw...

Windows 7 Win7 ignore drive letter for Seagate ST31000528AS

Solved. Creditand thanks to Saltgrass... I moved the drive to my ASUS - BIOS RAID-1 recognized the volume. Win7 (pristine) exhibited the same symptom. I used diskpart clean as suggested by Saltgrass and diskpart automount enable, then went through the process of assigning drive letters. Win7...

Windows 7 Win7 ignore drive letter for Seagate ST31000528AS

I appreciate the input to the cause.... Windows generates difference Devicetype for the different models so it makes the arrays different. There is no limitation because these are small capacity drives. I will look into cleaning with Diskpart, but I believe that they are clean because I zeroided...
