I looked at that guide. It requires a change to the registry. I am somewhat hesitant about making a registry change so I think I will hold out on that. Any other thoughts anyone??????????????????
Sometimes (not every time) when I log into one account on my laptop (there are 3 accounts on the laptop), folder attributes ('show hidden files', 'hide extensions') get reset to their default values. I then need to change the settings (turn 'show hidden files' on, turn 'hide extensions' off)...
Bat file: @echo off echo\ echo "Hello David" echo\ pause If I run this in an elevated command window or in an admin account, I see the text and the 'pause' - no errors. If I run this as Administrator (mouse right click), the window appears and immediately disappears.
Actually if my bat file has the line echo "Hello David" I get the same result: I briefly sees a window appear and then disappear. I do not see the line of text "Hello David". So this has nothing to do with Avira. Any thoughts???
