Hm, I reinstalled through Steam and had no problems whatsover, didn't even have to mess around with compatitibily modes. Just downloaded and ran it.

MagicDisc is the Virtual DVD drive program that is associated with MagicISO. MagicISO runs without a problem, but if you click the menu item for Install MagicDisc(Freeware) be ready for a massive headache and eventual reinstall of Windows7.

When I first tried installing, I thought it didn't work because the virtual drive didn't appear immediately. I told myself I'd uninstall it later, and ended up rebooting. After reboot drive was there and working problem free.
