    Ghost folder - unusable?

PS: The properties image - shows the folder itself is 0 bytes. But also note that it does not show up in OneDrive - so it seems to just be an artifact?!

    Ghost folder - unusable?

Opening explorer in admin mode, I do see the folder. Opening it there in properties; But it won’t let me change properties from hidden and read-only – even though it shows that I own it, and am admin. But this is something new, Trying to delete it from this admin-explorer, I get this: Not...

    Ghost folder - unusable?

Ah, yes, thanks. That is because W11 on install had moved several folders to OneDrive, instead of actually under /users/... - I moved them all back, and removed the sync on them - that predated this issue by a week or so. This restore data folder was actually put at C:/Recovery, but I didn't...

    Ghost folder - unusable?

PS: I like the idea to move it back to its initial (created) location, and see if anyone gets more happy - but I cannot move it - same problem, permission denied.

    Ghost folder - unusable?

Thanks - but I don't see OneDrive anywhere in the posted pictures? They all show C:/users/guthrie/Desktop/Recovery Can you clarify for me please. What's interesting (?!) is that it shows up in the GUI desktop, but not anywhere else - not in a cmd prompt dir, not in an explorer file listing.

    Ghost folder - unusable?

    1) as above, I am already the owner. 2) As shown in the post - both my account and administrator have full-control 3) C:\Users\guthrie\Desktop>rmdir /s /q Recovery Access is denied. The backup program is not running, it did a restore which created this folder.

    Ghost folder - unusable?

I did a file restore from a backup program (Retrospect), but I cannot seem to be able to do anything with the folder it created, even delete it. The folder icon is grayed out..? I do have permissions on it, and am the owner, and also have admin privileges. Opening a cmd prompt as admin, and...

Windows 10 multi-monitors and HDMI output selection?

I have a laptop with a second (USB) monitor that I am using for a video production. I take the HDMI output and it goes into a mixer for recording. The issue is that the display output sent to HDMI is not what I want. The W10 machine maps the displays like this: [2] - [1] [1]...

Windows 10 W10 icons broken after Creators update

I did the Creators update to W10 today, but now the icons on the desktop are goofed up – they cannot be positioned near the edges, and if you try to move them there, they jump into the screen instead about 2”. And on the bottom, they can’t be placed more than about ¼” from the taskbar, and...

Windows 7 W7 Media Center missing Internet TV (and thus Netflix)

Ah - the answer is that I was managing the system using remote desktop, adn when you do that it rund WMC in a different mode, which does not support these services. Pretty weird and too bad! That means you need a physical connection to the machine to manage or use these items, cannot have a...

Windows 7 W7 Media Center missing Internet TV (and thus Netflix)

I have a system with W7 Pro (upgraded from Vista Home Premium), and running Windows Media Center. I have a sibling system with W7 Pro also on it, and WMC works fine, and I have Internet TV, Sports, TV program guide, and Netflix on it. On the problematic system, I have none of those. I have...
