Think i have just worked it out, could it be that the WIFI is stored on the sim card that I have used on my old phone?

I wonder if anyone can help me, I have just bought a windows 8 phone. It automatically connected to my wifi without entering a password, even though it is a secure connection. Would WIFI sense have picked up that I have a Microsoft Surface that is connected to my wifi? I cannot seem to find an...
