that audio driver fixed the weird problem. now everything is working the way it should :}. thanks you all again for the help getting my computer working again.

it died initially because the intel rapid storage tech driver failed and it wouldn't start up, then i accidentally changed the status of the ssd from intel rapid storage to ata and it f'd everything up. i meant to just disable it in bios but i messed it all up.

When i pressed both of the mouse buttons at the same time in windows 8.1 it would open a new tab in chrome. when i do this in windows 10 it will sometimes open a new tab, but most of the time it launches the start menu.
how do i get it to stop launching the menu?

so update, i managed to get intel rapid storage to work, but it didn't use the whole drive (32gb). when i look at it is shows 19gb (18.6 really) used as cache and 11gb used as data volume.
when i would try to use the whole 32gb as a cache it would give me an unknown error. any ideas why this...
hmm. well now every time i try to accelerate that drive i get an error. also, i'm just going to assume that windows 10 isn't supposed to be 4 times slower than 8.1 ? that's not an exaggeration, startup takes 4 times as long as it used to and the programs are all very slow to open. this computer...
ok, so here is an update. turns out that windows 10 was looking at things wrong i guess, turns out the ssd is 32gb, the model is samsung ssd pm830 mSATA 32gb.
that should be big enough for windows 10 to install on, right? so my original idea that it should have installed there is correct...
so i set it up and now my computer is unbelievably slow. videos take longer to load now than they did 10 years ago when i had dial up, but my internet is working fine. programs are taking 10-20 times as long to load. what happened?
EDIT: fixed the programs, but the computer still starts up...
