I have all that done but when I click the speaker icon on the console launcher, I get an error, don't know why that is.

Thats weird, and you're running the actual 7000 build beta? I'll dig a little deeper for you and se what I can find out.

So how did you get the 5.1 Surround to work, I can only get the 2 front and sub to work.

One thing I've noticed and don't care for, if you haven't tried this, add gadgets to your desktop and then right click the desktop and go to "View" and uncheck "Show Desktop Items" your gadgets are hidden also. I think the there should be an option to keep the gadgets on the desktop or atleast...
