Bottom line up front - my PC is having repeated nvstor64 type 3 errors which cause it to hang and the only way to restart it is to hold the power button in until it shuts down. Help! Sorry if this is the wrong forum - I'm not sure where to post this since I really don't know what the problem...

If you have access to another PC you could use this link AVG | Rescue CD | PC Rescue and Repair Toolkit to create a rescue CD from AVG. This is basically a linux disk with anti-virus on it. Boot your PC with that and use it to clean the drive. Good luck!
