Well, I have now gone through all of those fix attempts on the Microsoft forum and noe of them work at all, tried just about everything. Here are the 2 images I have taken of the 2 registry entries for .mp4 files.

Thanks very much for your reply Saltgrass, um, no, I'm a bit stupid in that I uninstalled the program after deciding that I'll just stick to CCleaner in the future as this well regarded free app doesn't go quite as deep into the registry as 'Mechanic'.
