    U may run in to some errors when upgrading to 8gb of ram. For some MB's you have to lower the RAM frequenzy. if the ram for example is a 1066 mhz, you have to lower it to 800mhz. and also higher the voltage to the ram. from standard up <1.8> up to 2.0. this is beacause you may stress the dimm...

    Over Max Ram?

    windows will dectect all of your ram. But it can't use all of it. due to 32-bit limitation. u dont need to worrie about your pc,BUT windows cant use all of the RAM even if it is detected.

    Installed More Ram And..

    as some of the previous speaker said. Due to memory allocation to your gfx, the os itself doesnt use the full size of the RAM. I think there should be a setting in your BIOS where you can disable /sideport memory/ and I think this is the solution for you.
