I have checked my user ID and it shows I have all permissions available to me as the administrator. When I r-click on desktop, and select Gadgets, I get a message only admin can access Gadgets. I have other issues, but I'd like to deal with them one at a time.

I cannot access things like "gadgets" because the system tells me only administrators can use these. I'm the only admin on my home network. How do I fix this? On another problem: I cannot modify my screen background thru the NVIDIA setup. I have an NVIDIA card and a fully compatible screen...
