What does a broken pin look like in a motherboard CPU slot?

It didn't disappear after I overclocked. I put it back to default after a few days cause my computer had very high temps. My BIOS is up to date. This happened after I took off the CPU and placed it back in.

I did use prime95 when I overclocked my CPU from 2.40GHz to 3.00GHz to test the temperature but it went from 45oC to almost 70oC. I also have the latest bios already. Do you think its a bent pin in the motherboard? Cause I don't see any pins only flat square or rectangular pins.

Ok, Is there a difference between running in 2 cores and 4 cores? Cause 2 cores seems to be cooler.

I followed the video and it still only detects 2 cores. How do I know if the pins or CPU is damaged?

Windows 7 Help! Windows 7 and BIOS only detecting 2 cores on Core 2 Quad Q6600

I have recently checked if my CPU heat sink was dusty so i took it out and i cleaned it. I also took out my CPU to look at it. After i put everything back in, I turned on my computer and went to the BIOS and it only detected 2 cores on my CPU. Would it be because i placed it incorrectly?
