Windows 7 Windows 7 Remote Desktop Question

OK, I have tested some things and found that the speed I experience with Remote Desktop has to do with being on a local network, not any XP to XP, Win7 to Win7, or XP to Win7 configuration. In fact, while in the XP to XP network (at work) the performance was better than my home network (Win7 to...

Windows 7 Windows 7 Remote Desktop Question

Thanks, I already have Radmin as a workaround. However I'd still like to know if a windows7 to windows7 Remote Desktop connection is faster over a VPN than windows7 to XP. I know it's faster on my local network. I'll be testing a local network XP to XP connection soon and I'll report back. Thanks!

Windows 7 Windows 7 Remote Desktop Question

    Windows 7 Win7 Freezes randomly

Try going to Start and typing in "Event Viewer" and it will pop up. Select it and go to "Windows Logs" and then go to "System" and look at the time of your last shut down, then look at the events leading up to it. For me, there was always a point in time where all things stopped recording. For...

    Windows 7 Win7 Freezes randomly

Did you look at the event viewer for the last event(s) that took place before the computer went idle? For me it was commonly the disk defragmenter that would lock things up so I disabled it as a service.

    Windows 7 Win7 Freezes randomly

**possible fix**worked for me** I went through my event logs ... and what would happen was that the disk defragmenter would kick in and that would be the last thing in the event log before the computer was touched again and started to show events related to reawakening. So I disabled the disk...

Windows 7 Desktop "Freezes" After Being idle.

I've been having this same problem on my Sony VGN-NS305D laptop. I bought it with Vista Business installed. It worked fine for 2 months. I don't know what happened, perhaps Spybot installed? I don't know. I use a Logitech usb mouse and calculator. It doesn't matter if they're plugged in or not...
