I should mention that the most ram you can have in a 32bit system is 4Gb. If you are using a 64bit system then yeah, no harm in upgrading that.

Yeah, that's not much ram at all. That's almost how much windows needs at a minimum, and if you're also trying to run other programs in the background or video viewing applications, that's not much ram to go around. I'm not saying that's 100% your issue, but I'll let someone else validate that...

What storage device do you use? When I had an HDD I experienced this problem all the time. I upgraded to an SSD and I haven't had that issue since.

I'm still having the issue. I tried to enable AHCI in the bios but it freezes after I save on the bios splash screen.

I've already tried sfc scannow and chdsk. My ssd is good, nothing bad about it. Ill download process explorer, but when it freezes task manager says everything is at 0mb/s. Hopefully that will have some useful information.
