    I haven't had a BSOD since uninstalling AVG and updating those drivers last tuesday. And what do I gain from an updated BIOS? My laptop runs fine now so could I skip that update?

    No, it came with windows 7 which is what I am still running now.

    It seems that update is for 32bit systems only. And there doesn't appear to be a x64 download anywhere. And nevermind the other drivers, I found them.

    Sorry, I should have said what I'm working with. That exactly the machine I'm on. De MSI website says I have to make a bootable USB flashdrive and update the BIOS through DOS. Do you know any other way of updating the BIOS? I don't trust myself enough to screw around with this kind of stuff in...
