Hi, yes, I did click, and it didn't say for sure, so I did some more research, and I read I lose my programs but not my files with Reset. I will check it out later. Thanks!

Hi Holdum, no, I have not resorted to Reset (or Refresh) yet because I don't want to lose my Office programs.

I used the ESET uninstaller to remove ESET (since the subscription expired), but I didn't use the "ESET AV Removal Tool" you suggested. I just used it, and the only application it found and is asking me to remove is the Firefox browser. Should I do that?

I already installed Windows 10 with no problems. It was an update that had a problem. Why would the in place upgrade get corrupted when I have already installed Windows 10 successfully?

What are you talking about? I have already explained I successfully UPGRADED to Windows 10 from 7. The problem is that I now cannot install UPDATES for Windows 10.

I looked at it but it seems a little complicated.

I upgraded from existing Windows 7 configuration. I did not do a clean install. I just ran the Windows Update repair tool, but the problem was not resolved. Thanks
