I have a home network. All the computers can print without an other computer. I want the printer to the router and it will work always under xp, vista.
But how must I install the printer? Via Add Printer --> Local printer --> tcp/ip port OR Add Printer --> network printer? The printer is directly connected to the router and have IP-address: 192.168.1.1
The printer is an HP Deskjet 990cxi and is connected directly to the router (Draytek 2600 VGi). In Vista I do the follow steps: 1. Add local printer 2. TCP/IP Port 3. Adress: IP_192.168.1.1 4. Than can I succesfully print in Vista Vista don't ask for drivers or something.
When I add a printer, the printer is not visible in the window 'Printers'. The window is hanging on the 'green' status bar at the top. How can I solve that? This is wat I see: Link Removed due to 404 Error
