Installed Home Premium on an HP workstation which has 2 physical CPU's. Only recognising a single CPU in task manager but there are 2 listed in device manager?

Anyone managed to find a driver for an ATI 9200 AGP card ?

I guessed I could find it there but I did at least expect that to be on the start menu !!

Can't find IE anywhere in the menus? Where has the browser gone?

Just did an in place upgrade from Vista fine !

Ah but it doesn't !! I tried booting into Vista which was already installed - via a boot from the Vista DVD to install in the first place so I know the DVD drive etc is fine. Put the W7 DVD in and find setup.exe, forget exactly where it is and I can't get at it now as I am trying another...

Not sure! It's an old mobo but I'll try and find out. Upgraded to W7 fine but now it can't find a driver for the network card even though Vista can so I'll have to reinstall Vista to find out what the network card is in there as that's integrated as well !! What fun!!

The same DVD will boot fine on 2 other PCs so I don't suspect the DVD. I think it's an odd hardware problem as I have also tried another DVD drive and still the same. Odd thing is that a Vista DVD will bot fine on this PC !!

ISO is fine as I can install on another PC. Just wanted it on my 'play' PC.

Due to getting a CODE 5 error when trying to boot from a known good DVD, is there any way I can boot the PC into a DOS type environment and then run setup from the DVD? PC reads the DVD fine but won't boot from it! I tried being crafty by booting from an XP disk, going to the recovery console...

Non empty disk was the problem! Completely emptied it and install running fine now, thanks.

Trying to install W7 on a PC running Vista. When I try to boot from the DVD I get the message CDROM cannot boot Code 5. Thinking the media must be bad I tried it on another PC and it boots fine. I tried a Vista DVD in the original (failing) PC and it boots fine? Any ideas please? Should have...
