Update... Nov 2015 can someone tell us for sure if Windows 10 and it's 'Windows Defender' is better and more capable than previous versions? In Windows 8.1, i used BitDefender 2015 Total Security & free version too before that. It has ranked among the top 3 in the world by the leading Labs year...

It is prolly the programs that isn't programmed properly to shut-off when u turn off the PC. Like its not closing it's processors/services and leaves it running and windows wants it all closed before it will shutdown. my advice... Either find a better program that does the exact same thing or...

For me, google drive hold's up my shutdown/restarts sometimes. I installed it as i like having both Onedrive + Googledrive working in tandem for cloud backups. I either click on 'Shutdown anyway' or if i leave it, after a minute, it takes me back to my desktop & i manually close google drive...

I have the same problem. Tho mine wont show system settings or my files. Was hoping other people have encountered this problem & has a solution or fix.

I turned laptop on this evening and BANG!... Windows Updates is downloading Win10. First it says: Getting system files. Then it checks that ur machine meets the hardware specifications. Lastly it says: Downloading Windows 10, 2735 megabytes... I am happy and a bit nervous at the same time. Happy...

Yes...i too have got that a few days now. Mine takes 1-2 minutes until i can put my pin/password in. Before, it was instant soon as the lockscreen comes on. I wonder if it's because of the Win10 upgrade...? It's never happened to me before & just started happening now. Anyone else getting this...

Also, huge programs that can be uninstalled & replaced with another program that does the same/similar things & with a smaller footprint should be used instead. Turn on fastboot and skip boot checks on startup. Delay needed startup items for 1 minute and disable the non essential one's. my 2 cents
