Windows 7 Make your Bluetooth devices work on Windows 7

I have worked on this issue on and off for 2 years to no avail. (Bluetooth did work with VISTA) I was able to get it working, but not 100% reliable, with the WINDOWS 8 Customer Preview. I'm hoping the issues will be worked out completely by October when it is released. For now, all I can...

Windows 7 Make your Bluetooth devices work on Windows 7

A BLUETOOTH dongle is a piece of hardware that plugs into a USB port. For example: Newegg.com - cirago BTA-3210 Micro Bluetooth Dongle USB 2.0 support Bluetooth 2.1 It will come with a driver disc. It will then transmit to whatever BLUETOOTH receiver you are using. It works for me on both my...

Windows 7 Make your Bluetooth devices work on Windows 7

Just get yourself a BLUETOOTH Dongle, and install the software that comes with it. That is the only thing that worked for me.

Windows 7 Make your Bluetooth devices work on Windows 7

I spent a lot of time with this problem. In the end, I found out that they only way to get BLUETOOTH to properly function was with a dongle i a USB port. (See my reply several posts above) Did Microsoft Cripple Bluetooth in Windows 7? - Gearlog I got sick of wasting more time on the issue...

Windows 7 Multiple Audio Output Selection And BLUETOOTH

I have not tried WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER, but I will look into that. Thanks for the reply Saltgrass. What I do know is: Connecting to a bluetooth device requires "pairing" to it. Pairing links the transmitter to the reciever. 1. WINDOWS itself prevents "pairing" to more than 1 device. A...

Try clicking on "a high definition audio device", then click the button "Set as default" . Then close the audio application, and reopen it. Does it work then?

Windows 7 No Sound from External Speakers

Right click on the speaker icon on the system tray. Click on Playback Devices. Highlight External Speakers. Click Set Default. Next, close and reopen the application you were using. Now sound should come out of the external speakers, but not the internal ones. (You can't have both at the same time.

    New Features and Changes

In my opinion, all in all, this is a great site. There are a large number of people using it, and most of the posts are responded to in a reasonable amount of time. If I were to make any suggestions, I would try to improve the "SEARCH" function. Sometimes when I search the forums, too many...

Windows 7 Internet Disconnect - sporadic non response

FYI - I dumped my Belkin router, and bought a D-Link DIR-655 EXTREME N router. I have been running for about a week on it now, (wireless printing, streaming video, streaming audio, & basic internet surfing), and have not yet had 1 disconnect. For what it's worth, I also added security to the...

Windows 7 Internet Disconnect - sporadic non response

I got this answer from another post, so I'm not taking credit for it, but it seemed to work for me last night: "I fixed this by going into the driver properties panel> Advanced> Task Offload> Off. After it reset I was running fine.To solve the issue, I just simply turned off IPv6 on the PC and...

Windows 7 Internet Disconnect - sporadic non response

As I said in another post, the problem may not at all be with the computer. As more and more bandwidth demand is put on the router, it could be shutting off the computer ip. I have the same issue on my home network. If I shut off devices connected to the LAN, my wireless drops very less...
