I've experienced the same problem ever since I tried to upgrade the driver on my Netgear WPN111 wireless adapter. I went from v2.1 to v3 of the utility for the adapter and now when my wireless connects it displays the icon that normally shows up when it is disconnected. The driver didn't change...
